Paris Skyle (パリス・スカイル Parisu Sukairu) was a Vampire prince and was the oldest living vampire. He was at least 800 years old before he died. He died around September 21 of an unknown year.
He apparently knew William Shakespeare (he drank from him on his deathbed to preserve his spirit), fought alongside Joan of Arc (a Vampire sympathizer) sailed with Columbus to introduce Vampirism to the New World, and inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula. He also met Mr.Tiny when he first came to Vampire Mountain to create the Hall of Princes and warn the Vampires of the Vampeneze Lord.
He died of "old age" in book eight due to the fact he walked into the wilderness and wrestled a bear (due to their life-style, old Vampires often choose to fight a battle they know they possess no hope of winning rather than die peacefully). He also helped Darren fight the Vampaneze. He is also the one who re-blooded Vancha March when Vancha was originally a half-vampaneze. Paris's funeral is attended by all other Princes but Darren (Rules requiring at least one Prince to remain outside the mountain during a time of war and Darren being the one who knew Paris least).
Trivia[]
- Through careful reading of the text, Paris' death date can be worked out approximately. His death date is on or around Monday, September 21 of an unknown year in the 21st century.
- He was blooded at the age of 2. Being a half vampire for about 20 years would put him biologically at age 6 when he became a full vampire, so when he died at 800 years old he was biologically about 84 years old
