Trivia[]
- An interview to the author Darren Shan reveals that his Japanese publishers were the ones who instigated the manga adaptation, as the Darren Shan saga was very popular in Japan back then. He chose Takahiro Arai as the artist for a contest, but after that he had nothing to do with it until it was later translated into English for its release in the USA and UK.
- It's a mostly faithful adaptation of the novels, but with a few minor changes that don't really affect the outcome of the story.
- There's a bigger emphasis on Darren and Steve's friendship, to the point the final chapter has a bonus scene about the alternate timeline of Sons of Destiny.
